Child Dedication
Child Dedication is a special opportunity for parents to publicly dedicate their children to the Lord and make a meaningful commitment to raise them to know, love, and follow Jesus. It’s a moment to celebrate God’s gift of family and intentionally build a foundation of faith that will shape your child’s life.
At Yohanna Church, we believe raising children to follow Jesus was never meant to be done alone. Child Dedication is also an opportunity for family, friends, and our church community to come alongside parents with prayer, encouragement, and support as we raise the next generation to follow Jesus.
Child Dedication is open to families with children of all ages, beginning at birth. Our Yohanna Kids team is excited to celebrate with you, pray over your family, and partner with you as you help your children grow in their relationship with Jesus.
We can’t wait to celebrate this special moment with your family and be part of all God has planned for your child’s life!
“Children are a heritage from the Lord, offspring a reward from him.”
Psalm 127:3 NIV

Living Out Your Commitment
Child Dedication is more than an event. It’s the beginning of an ongoing commitment to disciple your child.
Here are some practical ways to continue that commitment at home and within the Yohanna Church community:
Grow in your own relationship with Jesus. Spend time in prayer, Scripture, worship, and community. Your children will learn from the faith they see lived out in you.
Make church a part of your family rhythm. Attend worship gatherings together and stay connected to Yohanna Kids as your child grows.
Talk about faith at home. Ask your children what they learned at church, read the Bible together, pray together, and look for everyday opportunities to talk about Jesus.
Build relationships within the church. Surround your family with people who will encourage you, pray for you, and help you grow. Community is an important part of the discipleship journey.
Pray for your children regularly. Pray over their character, friendships, faith, future, and relationship with Jesus.
Keep growing as a parent. Look for opportunities to learn, grow, and become more intentional in how you lead your children to find and follow Jesus.
